Effect of Fly Ash on Some Properties of Reactive Powder Concrete

To achieve sustainability in the field of civil engineering, there has become a great interest developing reactive powder concrete RPC through use environmentally friendly materials to reduce release CO2 gas produced from cement factories as well contribute recycling industrial wastes that have impact on environmental pollution. In this study, was prepared using total binder content 800 kg/m3, water ratio (0.275), and micro steel fibers 1% by volume concrete. The experimental program included replacing fly ash with (8, 12, 16) % weight find optimal ratio, which achieved best mechanical properties (RPC) at 7, 28, 90 days standard curing. Some (flow, compressive strength, tensile density) were verified. results 28 showed strength (96.5) Mpa, (9.38) density (2395 kg/m3). percentage replacement 8% is percentage, highest resistance compared others. also indicated it possible develop high withstand stress, density.
